Tune ups
Tune ups are recommended on a seasonal basis or every 1000 to 3000 miles, this is of course if you do not notice any problems. If for any reason your not sure of the state of your bicycle bring it in for a free estimate. All tune ups come with the Paramount warranty of one-month free adjustments on services paid for. The types of tune-ups available are as follows:
Basic Tune Up $35
Our Basic tune Up -- Gets you out riding safely with a minimum of fuss!
- Adjust the derailers
- Adjust the brakes
- Wipe down the frame
- Lube the chain and pivots of the derailers
- Check/add air to the tires
- True the wheels
Standard Tune Up $60
- Adjust the hubs, headset, brakes and gears
- True and re-tension the wheels
- Check the binders/bolts on the stem, seat post, and cranks
- Basic wipe down of the frame and wheels
Deluxe Tune Up $80
- Inspect and inject grease into hubs and adjust them
- True, tension and dish wheels
- Adjust the bottom bracket and head set
- Adjust brakes and gears
- Lube cables when possible (and if they need it)
- Inspect and grease the binders on the stem
- Inspect and grease the seat post and the seat tube binder bolt
- Lubricate the chain, cogs and derailleur pivots
- Clean up the frame and the wheels

Wheel and Rim Service
Wheels are the most important part of your bicycle for longevity and efficiency!!! The wheels I build are a matter of pride. With this I offer what I refer to as continuity of care a service plan for the life of the wheel to the original owner. free truing for life.
A few stipulations do apply:
- Truing means truing
- Damaged wheels are just that, damaged. Truing does not help them
- If your wheel is out of true, it's free
- Retain your paper work! With out it, no free service
- Please bring the wheel off bike and the tire off the wheel
- Allow 4 hrs for most jobs

An overhaul is recommended every 4000 to 6000 miles if you actually take care of your bicycle. During our busy season it is virtually impossible to schedule an overhaul, so plan ahead. An over haul comes with the Paramount warranty of two months free adjustment to these services to cover the break in period of virtually anyone's riding schedule.
Complete overhaul (September to March): $147.90
- Repack bearing in the hubs
- Repack bearing in the headset
- Repack bearings in the bottom bracket or remove cartridge bottom bracket*
- Chase/clean the bottom bracket threads of the frame need to be chased/cleaned
- Clean the frame and wheels
- Check the alignment of the frame, drop outs, and the fork.
- Clean all the drive train parts in a parts washer and inspect for wear
- Check for chain stretch and replace if necessary
- True & re-dish the wheels
- Replace all the cables and housing
- Adjustment of all components

Boxing a bike: $35 this is the industry standard of a single box, Deluxe bicycle boxing: $45
When boxing a bicycle we fit a smaller bicycle box into a larger one to maximize the strength, and thus minimize the impact during shipping. We have found that many of our boxes are able to sustain a return trip!! Shipping not included.
Building a bicycle from the box: $25-$60
Frame save your steel bicycle: $25 frame must be new and bare of parts
This process takes 3 days.
Install a cycle computer: $10-$25
Install a rear/front rack or basket: $10-$25
Install fenders: $10-$20
Install new handlebars such as the popular high rise: $8-$25
Rigid fork alignment: $50 this includes disassembly of and repacking the head set
Rigid fork alignment off the bicycle: $50
Checking frame, fork and dropout alignment (often in the case of an accident): $20
Paint jobs are available through outside sources: ask for current charges.
Lessons are available through the winter months: $35 per hour
